Some 35 years ago Peter J. Smith established his retail business for the sewing and knitting consumer, known to-day as “Peter Smith Trading Ltd.,”and doing business as ” The Sew N Knit N Serge Outlet” of which STUDIO KNITTING MACHINES is a Division
Over the years, high-volume purchasing from manufacturers has allowed him to buy the best of products at the best of prices with the savings being passed along to a growing following of steady, and very satisfied, customers.
Early in the new century, (2000) we acquired the rights to be the sole Canadian Distributor for PASSAP KNITTING MACHINES. And in 2001 also STUDIO KNITTING MACHINES, and recently some selected BROTHER models.
We have a large inventory of parts and accessories for current and past models. Our Service Department’s fully trained technicians assure prompt service and fast turn arounds,
Mail Order service was created early on in response to demand by Rural and other out-of-town customers. Peter now ships to all points on the North America continent, as well as overseas. (use our toll-free “800” number!) Peter’s huge stock assures prompt shipment of thousands of items.
Sept 3rd 2009 We bought our own 7000 square foot building to enable us to meet our clients needs more fully with classrooms and seminar rooms at the ready. Now we are the largest yarn store in the city and no one has more machines than we do anywhere.
With such a merchandising and customer service capability in place, establishing a presence on the World Wide Web has been the next logical thing to do. And here we are!
